About the PTA

The YCS PTA is here to support and strengthen our school community alongside the YCS school leadership. The YCS PTA's mission is to:

  • Support the best possible learning environment for YCS children to ensure that they all have the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential.  

  • Sponsor and fund educational opportunities needed to supplement existing Department of Education programs to reach an ideal learning environment.

  • Advocate the well-being of the YCS children by representing their needs to governing bodies.

  • Connect with the surrounding community to foster a positive environment to achieve the health, safety and success for all our children.

Dear YCS Families, Teachers, and Staff,

The YCS PTA is a community of parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff working together to make YCS an even stronger, more connected place for our children and families. We partner with school leadership to support our students, enrich their experience, and help create a school community where everyone feels welcome and included.

This year, we’re focused on two things: strengthening our fundraising to protect and grow the programs that make our school special, and building a more connected community where every family feels welcome and included.

We invite you to join us in our mission! Whether you have time, talent, or connections, we’re grateful for anything you can bring to the YCS community. Our motto is simple: Do what you can, when you can. Whether that means signing up to be a Class Parent, volunteering at an event, attending a PTA meeting, or simply showing up with enthusiasm, every contribution makes a difference.
