Coin Drive Winners!
Thank you everyone for another amazing Coin Drive fundraiser benefiting our YCS enrichment programs. The top class winning a pizza party is PK-206 with 84.21% class participation. Second prize of the ice cream party goes to 5-507 with 75% class participation. The third prize of an ice pop party goes to 3 classes with over 70% participation; K-204, 1-309 and 2-409. Congratulations to all the winners. We will reach out to your teachers to arrange a mutual date for the prizes. Thank you to everyone who participated, you should pat yourselves on the back for a job well done.
Prize donations needed for Game Night!
Game night is coming on Saturday, March 2nd (note the new date!), and The PTA would love to have lots of great prizes for our kids! It’s a great way to clean your closets of unopened birthday or holiday gifts. (Event flier will be sent soon in your child’s folder!)
We are planning for two sessions for game night this year (PK – 1st and 2nd – 5th), and more detailed information about dates and times will follow soon. In order to split up the event, we need more prizes than ever! Toys, games, puzzles and arts and crafts all make wonderful donations and are perfect for all ages.
Simply drop off your prize in one of the bins provided in the east lobby or west lobby. Please tape your name to it so we know who donated! Collection dates are: Monday, February 4th – Friday, March 1st.

2019 YCS Auction Donations and Support Needed!
The YCS Spring Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we need YOUR help! Every dollar we raise helps support the valuable enrichment programs all our children enjoy and that are not funded by the Department of Education. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
- Get Your Tickets – Our 2019 Auction will be held on Saturday, March 23rd – it’s the biggest party of the year so get your tickets today! Click here to download the form and drop your payment in the PTA office or buy your tickets online at the YCS website. (Online sales coming soon)
- Contribute an Auction Item – We are still accepting auction item donations – gift cards for restaurants, classes, salons, services, shopping, tickets to sports, music and entertainment, unique items or experiences, such as destinations, studio tours, crafts – all donation items welcome! To contribute an item for the auction or to make a donation, please contact our Co-VP for Major Fundraising, Kate Hrobsky at khrobsky@me.com. (Click to download form)
- Empty Toilet Paper Rolls Needed – We need empty toilet paper rolls for the school wide art project that will serve as the decorations. They can be dropped off in the bin outside the PTA office. Also, if you have any bottles of wine laying around the house we will take them! This year we will have a “Grab A Bottle of Wine” at the auction so we need as many as we can collect. These can also be dropped off at the PTA office. If you can’t make it to the PTA office, you can email Kate at khrobsky@me.com to coordinate a drop off.
- Please volunteer! – The Auction Committee is looking for some assistance both before and after the event to plan and prepare. In particular, we need people who can work with Excel and Word document. If you are interested in helping and can give some time please contact Kate Hrobsky at khrobsky@me.com.
