YCS Coin Drive
Our annual YCS Coin Drive is underway! We will be collecting coin drive boxes until the end of February. Students will bring their YCS Coin Drive boxes home and you can collect and return them to the bins in the lobbies. We are hoping for 100% participation so please fill your box to the brim or whatever pocket change you have handy. Every box counts no matter how much is inside!! We will continue to post which classes get most of their boxes back. The top 3 classes will win a class prize so keep them coming. Thank you for participating in the YCS coin drive!
Yearbook Pictures Needed!
We need your help to gather pictures for our YCS yearbook – please send any pictures that you may have from any of the school events. (Fall Festival, Winter Blast, International Night, etc…) Email them to yearbook@yorkvillecommunityschool.org
2020 YCS Auction Donations Needed!
Our 2020 Auction will be held on Saturday, March 21st and we’d like to meet or exceed last years numbers, so please start thinking about items you might be able to donate. The YCS Spring Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year, and every dollar we raise helps support the valuable enrichment programs all our children enjoy and that are not funded by the Department of Education. Come hear Yorkville East 8th Graders Give a Presentation on School Integration
The next District 2 Community Education Council meeting is this Thurs, Feb 13th, at 6:30pm at PS 33 (281 91th Avenue), and the agenda includes a presentation by Yorkville East 8th grade students about School Integration. There are also 2 public speaking sessions at every CEC meeting where you can voice your own thoughts, suggestions and concerns, so please come if you can!
