7th Annual YCS Fall Festival a Big Success

With many thanks to teachers, students, parents, volunteers and Mother Nature, this past weekend’s YCS Fall Festival was a wonderful event for the school and the community.

Incredibly, we had more than 120 volunteers kindly donated their time, effort and resources. Please see the Fall Festival Volunteer Acknowledgement Page to read a list of the many volunteers who were a part of this great event.

The children enjoyed bouncy castles, games of skill and chance and number of artistic and creative projects that enabled them to both express and enjoy themselves.

This year’s Festival also featured an interactive “Urban Corn maze” — a school-wide art project that featured work from every YCS student. Please CLICK HERE to see a movie of the Maze.

Further, we exceeded our fundraising goal of $17,000 and came in below budget on our costs.

Finally, we are pleased to announce the winners of the YCS Fall Festival Raffle:

– A Kawasaki Kids Bike, donated by the YCS PTA: The Dow Family
– A Children’s Book basket donated by Logos Bookstore: Debra McKiernan
– A Star Wars, Jelly Belly Machine donated by It’ Sugar: Ginnie Yew

Winners can pickup their prizes at the PTA office (please email pta@yorkvillecommunityschool.org with questions).

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a great success.
